According to Rolling Stone, Kanye West‘s new album is perfect.
The magazine gave the rapper’s fifth album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, a rare 5-star review rating.
The review is plastered with compliments for West’s long-awaited album. “It’s his best album, but it’s more than that — it’s also a rock-star manifesto for a downsizing world,” music journalist Rob Sheffield writes. “Nobody else is making music this daring and weird.”
It’s not the first time Kanye has gotten a full 5 stars from RS. His sophomore album, Late Registration, also received a 5 star review — that review was also written by Sheffield.Graduation received 4 1/2 stars, while College Dropout and 808s and Heartbreak are tied with 3 1/2 stars.
Kanye responded to the good news via his Twitter account, tweeting, “This is amazing and very humbling … thank you so much 5 STARS!!!!!”
And if you’re keeping track, Taylor Swift‘s latest effort, Speak Now, received 4 stars.
